My interest in building started when I was a very young boy, wanting to learn the art and craftsmanship of working with wood. I was very fortunate that I had a patient and thorough teacher in my home town and under his tutelage, I starting with the basics. He would always say "if you don’t have the basics you will never be a proper builder". While attending school I did small carpenter projects in my local area. To sharpen my craft and to get experience needed to work with a variety of materials, not just wood and stone.

After finishing my education in high security mechanical and electronic protection devices, at which I worked until I decided to move to the United States in 1993. When I settled in United States, I was looking to make a new start in my life and wanted to get back to what fulfilled and that was the love of carpentry. After working for two years in the United States I decided to make one more move. I came to Canada in 1995 and for the first few years I was managing residential properties. This is how I stepped back into the building trade, which ultimately led to the creation of Solid Wood Home Services Inc. (Incorporated in 2004)

Our Philosophy

I found the level of quality and service provided by the local construction lacking. I believed I could make a difference and I could change the way people think about the industry. I started working from the ground up, hiring contractors that believe as I do that service and reliability, on time and on budget is the strength of our contract. I have an enormous love for natural materials like wood and rock and encourage our customers to always use Green Products if at all possible for their project. Knowing these products will be in their homes for many years. Building "Green" is the only way to provide a better future for generations to come.
